Inmotion offers high price value business hosting solutions.
It leverages world-class data centers and 100% dell web servers to offer hosting service. And Inmotion only hires engineers with over 8+ years experience in web hosting, with who it could provide the best service to its customers.
In terms of features, its business class hosting start at $5.95/month only, but includes 1 free domain, daily data backup, Unlimited disk space, Unlimited monthly transfer, and the support for MySQL, php, Python, Perl, and more. All those will be more than good enough when building a web site.
The price from InmotionHosting is higher than the cheap hosting service provider like WebHostingHub and Bluehost. But if you consider its high-performance web server and second-to-none customer service, the price is very good for the value it provides.
And what’s more, all its web hosting plans come with industry-leading 90 Days Money Back guarantee.
InMotion’s customer service is remarkable. If not for the fact that I am technically challenged I would never need to contact their customer service as the reliability of my server is not even something I think about – the server has never been down since I became a customer. I previously had both dedicated and virtual dedicated private servers with GoDaddy. It is almost unfair to compare InMotion to Godaddy to because it is similar to comparing a Ferrari with a 1975 Gremlin.
InMotion’s customer service model should be a standard for not only web hosting companies but any company whose primary product offering is made online.
I am sure I could find a less expensive service provider but the key is service. I don’t mind paying a couple of extra bucks when I know I can pick up the phone any day, at any hour 365 days per year and know someone will literally pick up the phone within 2 rings. I have never once been placed on hold or received an automated voice response when I’ve called InMotion.
Biggest Pro: Service, reliability, and pretty much any metric you would judge a hosting provider on.
Biggest Con: Cannot think of one. Would like to pay less but who wouldn’t.
Inmotion hosting provide their customer cPanel to manage their web sites. This is the industry leading, icon-based control panel, with which you can easily manage your email account, domain, file, and get your web site traffic statistics. There is almost no learning curve in it.
It is almost remarkable that I am writing a review of InMotion Hosting, a review that will be posted on a technology oriented web site, yet here I am. Why remarkable? Simply because I am not technology oriented and my experience with web site development is extremely limited. Over the past several years I have used “what you see is what you get” software to develop web sites devoted to my family’s history and genealogy. I have learned to be somewhat comfortable with the software, but the process of actually uploading my sites to the internet continues to baffle me.
As you read this you are likely rolling your eyes and asking yourself “what kind of idiot can not master the simple task of using ftp software to upload his site?” This kind of idiot! The concepts of nameservers, hosts, ftp addresses, domains, sub-domains, etc. are more than I can comprehend. Now, I am not a stupid man, but somehow I just can’t wrap my mind around these ideas.
And that is what motivates me to write this review; in spite of all of my IT shortcomings, the folks at InMotion help me to get the job done right!
For several years I used a competing company to host my sites, I was never quite comfortable. While always friendly and professional, their sales and tech-support staffs never communicated in a fashion that was understandable to a layman. I was not confident that I understood what I needed to do and I was relieved and surprised when (sometimes after multiple tries) everything worked. “That’s just the way it is” I thought; I was wrong.
A few weeks ago I decided to test other waters. I did some on-line research and found a few other companies, including InMotion, to check out.
My first contact with InMotion Hosting was with their sales staff. I asked as multitude of questions, most of which probably revealed my techno-ignorance. Everyone of my questions was answered completely, in a friendly, professional, and personable manner. My questions were answered in way that resulted in my confidence that InMotion Hosting is a company with which I can do business.
With that decision made I took the step of uploading a brand new site to the web. The process was smoother than I expected; it only took one or two call to tech-support.
Now it was time to move two sites from my old hosting company to InMotion Hosting. There was new techno-terminology to learn! I didn’t know that a web host and a domain name registrar were not one in the same. I had no idea of how to “point” my sites to new nameservers, or that I had to actually copy my data from one host and upload it to the the other.
InMotion’s tech support team came to my rescue. Their web site has excellent on-line tutorials that helped me to understand the terminology involved and the steps to be taken. I was ready to go, or so I thought! There were a few things that I didn’t get quite right. I made several calls to technical support; each of those calls was a positive experience. The support team treated me with respect and answered my questions fully. When I did not understand a technical term or a process they found a way to help me understand what I needed to do to move forward. In every case they pointed me in the right direction and helped me to achieve my goals. All the members the support team are to be commended for their depth of knowledge and their professional but friendly demeanor!
Choosing InMotion Hosting was the right decision; I can say that with confidence!
Next I’ll be changing domain registrars. It’s an easy process, I’m told. Tech Support: wait for your phone to ring.

I have moved my websites several times between different browsers. Now I’m at Inmotionhosting, and very pleased about the service they offer. It’s one of the cheapest hosts, but still there customer service is simply outstanding.
When I send them an e-mail about any question I might have, they always reply within a very short time. I really have the feeling that whatever problem I have, I can just send an e-mail right away and get professional feedback.
A friend of mine purchased a cheaper package at another host, and figured out that the customer support was just one person, doing this in his spare time and could forget about fast customer support. But I’m willing to pay for inmotionhosting, just because I know that whenever a problem occurs, the people at inmotionhosting are ready to help me out.
Another good thing is that they accept paypal on request and for purchases greater than 50 dollars. That makes it a lot easier for me to pay for hosting instead of refilling my refill-mastercard.
I’m now hosting my websites for more than a year, and after evaluating other webhosts, inmotionhosting is still the best for the price you have to pay. On their shared hosting plans, there are no ridiculous CPU usage limits or memory usage limits like you have at other webhosts.
I’m always on the lookout for better hosting companies and packages, but no other can give that feeling of safety and importance than inmotionhosting. If you’re not satisfied with your current webhost, or you have to wait days for a reply on your support request, you should consider inmotionhosting!
A couple of days ago I had my first problem that could have been disastrous had my web site been more established with a lot of traffic.
I’ve been in the computer industry for almost 25 years and for the most part I’m very computer savvy, but I am a complete novice regarding web hosting and design. This is my first website and InMotion Hosting is my first web host provider.
The other day as I was working on my Word Press blog design, I noticed a message on the WP dashboard that version 2.9.1 was available and I should upgrade. I’m still finding my way around and had no idea how to do a proper backup so I figured I’d just go ahead do the auto update. Well, against my better judgment (the part about being in the business 25 years) I did the upgrade and my site immediately went down. I had no idea what to do, so I contacted InMotion support and posted a message at Word Press and my theme’s forum.
To be honest, I had expected InMotion to tell me “Sorry but that’s not our problem. Contact WP or your theme’s author.” Not only was I wrong, but after getting some “guesses” from WP and my theme forums, the InMotion support people knew exactly where to look, found the problem and got my site back up and running quickly. I still have to find out why this happened, but at least it’s up and running again. I was pleasantly surprised and I’m very grateful. InMotion support exceeded my expectations by helping with a problem that they really weren’t obligated to do since it was not their issue.
It’s easy to run a business when everything is running smoothly. It’s when problems arise that you find out what a company is really made of. InMotion passed this test in flying colors.

Having used InMotion Hosting for nearly two years now, I can say that I have had a very positive experience and will certainly be renewing with them again when the time comes. The more I learn about building websites, the more I appreciate what InMotion Hosting offers. The PHP and MySQL support is up to date and easy to use. The control panel is user friendly and very informative on everything from the space and bandwidth used to details about the server the site is hosted on. There are advanced options that I’m still a year or two, at the least, from being able to understand and appreciate such as Apache Handlers and Cron Jobs. The webmail utilizes your choice of the Horde, SquirrelMail, or RoundCube interface, but I just have mine all forwarded to separate in-boxes in Outlook – and InMotion Hosting couldn’t have made that easier to set up. I could keep going about all the other great features provided such as the various ways to view incredibly detailed visitor stats, but I’m afraid I’ve only got a paragraph to express it all. In closing remarks, I would lastly like to point out the technical support and customer service. InMotion Hosting is one of those few companies left that has chosen to keep their support located here in the United States. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The legitimate American accents and the fact that they are providing jobs to Americans is the last great detail that seals the deal for me on what company I’m going to pick to host my website.
I recently began searching for a web hosting site and checked out the top 10 rated sites. After much research, I decided to go with InMotion Hosting and I am very pleased with my decision. I am still in the building stages of my website and have needed some technical support. The support at InMotion Hosting is not only timely but very knowledgeable. They have had immediate answers to all my questions. The site is super easy to use and I can tell the end product of my website is going to be professional looking. InMotion is a great hosting site and I would highly recommended it to anyone.
